I am thrilled to share I received first place in the Sony World Photo Awards Perspective category.

This will be my third time as a winner and this new category celebrates innovation in storytelling.

This work in progress is a compilation of techniques and a partnership with young people in Cape Town to tell a universal story of our walk to and from school. However for the youth in the Cape Flats this short walk brings the daily threat of gang crossfire.
