Image of the week… It was the last task of the day

22nd November 2024

It was the last task of the day, and the crisp late summer sun tickled our backs as we climbed the shingling wall and followed James down to watch him photograph Lily.
I was last to follow chaotically attempting to carry my one-man band of various camera gear. I stood from the ridge stealing a glance at a group of teenagers all curled into chain of cuddles. I curiously observed from afar then attempted as gracefully as I could to tread the stony mound in their direction.
I huddled down to greet the caterpillar formation and had a chat. They were instantly curious and friendly, and we caught up about life, Brighton and the sea. They were happy to let me clamber their limbs and shoot various set ups.
I paused, stood straight like a meercat to check in on my tribe. Within a few meters, everyone was engrossed in their own world, each person capturing someone else’s light, each frame an act of connection. It was like a beautiful creative feast unfolding in the tiniest of spaces.

After about 40 minutes we regrouped and high on our flow and giggled our way towards catching the train. It was the perfect end to a day rich with conversation, escapism, and electric energy. Thank you…@elle.dee_@ellie_ramsden@minniewiggins97@excusemylens@paulcraigphoto@_marwagram@jamescliffordkent
