Image of the week… I have always loved the fluid unpredictability

22nd November 2024

I have always loved the fluid unpredictability of double exposures, those squished images that collapse time, space, and memory into one.
Reshaping the familiar into something strange, something new. This project, in particular, has become an exploration of the fragile, shifting boundaries that young people navigate as they step between realms of innocence and risk. It’s a dance along the edges—places meant for play and escape, yet riddled with latent danger, unpredictable in their quiet volatility. A single street, a single line, can shift at a certain hour, transforming from a space of freedom to one of threat. The duality of these moments—joy and peril, innocence and exposure—reveals the delicate threshold between safety and harm, between belonging and vulnerability. These are the boundaries of play.
