At the age of 16 Baruch chose to leave his Orthodox Jewish community and to study at university. The dramatic and challenging decision forced him to question his identity and future. Einstein says “The important thing is to not stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reasoning for existing.”
The Wiesbaden Photo Days has been a festival for contemporary artistic and documentary photography with international participation. In response to the Wiesbaden Photo Days festival theme of “Future? Which Future?!” submitted works were intended to question perceived certainties and open up new horizons, and express that there can be a future that is anything but bleak and dystopian.
I am honoured that I was chosen as one of the participating artists to be exhibited at the festival with Baruch. The project explores how we choose our own paths in life and questions how much control we have to change who we will become.
