It was a pleasure to re-photograph the amazing architect Jamie Forbert a decade after first meeting him. This time, we decided to do things a little differently. As you may know, Jamie designed the revamp at The National Portrait Gallery last year.
When recying the gallery as our shoot location, the NPG team provided an incredible insight into the space and revealed that Jamie’s favourite painting in the collection was that of Ralph Simons an English mason and architect -1583
Using this as our inspiration, we recreated a similar portrait of Jamie, this time holding his father’s compass to reflect Ralph’s. The layered final image shows an uncanny resemblance between the two men.
Huge thanks to NPG and the Forbert team!
